DISC Assessment and Training, built on behavioral science
Improve communication and increase influence. Understand how you and your team think, decide, and work under pressure.
Understand What Drives
You With a DISC Profile
A direct leader and a detail-oriented team member can read the exact same conversation two completely different ways, and neither one is wrong.
A DISC profile builds self-awareness around your natural behavioral tendencies, including how you prefer to communicate, your strengths, and the blind spots that tend to show up when you’re stressed, rushed, or leading through change.
That awareness is the starting point for greater influence.
It helps you adjust how you lead, delegate, and interact with people who don’t operate like you do.
Dominance
Assertive, results focused, quick decisions, likes to be challenged, desires to lead.
“The insights on DISC communication styles were extremely helpful and gave me practical tools to better understand and connect with my team.”

DISC Training
and Workshops
Training brings the assessment to life and equips the team with skills to not just understand their style, but apply it. I run training and workshops that teach teams how to recognize different styles in real time and adjust their communication accordingly, whether with team members, customers, or vendors.
We customize the training collaboratively, so it addresses your real-world challenges and goals.

What Is a DISC assessment?
A DISC assessment is a type of behavioral and personality assessment that measures four primary personality traits: Dominance, Influence, Steadiness, and Conscientiousness. You’ll answer a series of questions about how you naturally respond to problems, people, pace, rules, and the results are scored into a personalized DISC report that shows where you land across all four styles, not just one label. Unlike a psychological or clinical test, a DISC assessment isn’t designed to diagnose anything. It’s designed to describe your observable behavior and communication style in a way that’s practical to use at work the same week you take it.
Dominance
People with a high Dominance style are direct, decisive, and results-oriented. They move fast, want the bottom line first, and get impatient with too much detail or process. Their strength is momentum. Under pressure, they default to control, and that same drive can come across as blunt or impatient.
Influence
People with a high Influence style are outgoing, persuasive, and energized by people. They build relationships fast and are usually the ones keeping morale up in a room. Their strength is bringing people along. Under pressure, they resist structure, and can avoid conflict or difficult conversations to protect the relationship and keep the mood positive.
Steadiness
People with a high Steadiness style are patient, dependable, and team-oriented. They keep a project moving without needing credit for it. Their strength is follow-through. Under pressure, they tend to resist change and go quiet, often needing to be invited before they’ll speak up.
Conscientiousness
People with a high Conscientiousness style are analytical, accurate, and quality-focused. They ask good questions before committing to an answer. Their strength is accuracy and thoroughness. Under pressure, they can get stuck in “analysis paralysis” or slow down decisions and action looking for more data than the situation needs.
What You Can learn From Your DISC Profile
Your DISC assessment is designed to give you a specific, practical picture of how you operate, including where your natural style helps you and where it gets in your way.
But the real value is in learning to adapt your approach, so you can communicate with others in the way they need to be communicated with.
Here’s what shows up in your results:
Your natural behavioral and communication style
How you may adapt your behavior in your current environment
The conditions in which you tend to perform best
How you approach problems and decisions
How you respond to pace, structure, risk, and change
How others may interpret your communication
Potential strengths you may underuse
Tendencies you may overuse under pressure
Ways to communicate more effectively with other DISC styles
Who Can benefit From a DISC Assessment?
DISC works whether you’re leading a company, managing a team, or focused on your own personal development and working style.
Business owners seeking greater leadership awareness
Executives responsible for business and organizational performance
Managers leading people with different working styles
Leadership teams experiencing communication or alignment challenges
Employees navigating conflict, growth, or workplace change
Sales and customer service professionals
Growing teams that need stronger collaboration
Organizations planning leadership development or team training
DISC Assessment for Individuals and teams
DISC is beneficial in many applications. An individual assessment builds self-awareness for one person. A team assessment builds a shared language for a whole group. I offer both, along with training built around what your business actually needs.
Individual DISC Assessment
and Debrief
A one-on-one DISC assessment is the right starting point if you want a clearer picture of your own style and to improve your personal effectiveness. You’ll complete the online assessment, then have a personal debrief where we go through your results and talk through specific ways to adapt your communication with people who don’t share your style.
DISC Team
Assessments
A team assessment gives everyone on the team visibility into how their colleagues communicate, make decisions, and prefer to work. That shows up fast in the day-to day: smoother handoffs, more productive meetings, and stronger teamwork across different working styles. It also gives the team a shared, neutral way to talk through workplace conflict and team roles, which builds trust, stronger working relationships, and a culture where people actually enjoy working together.
DISC Assessments
for Leadership Teams
Leadership teams carry the most weight when it comes to behavioral style, since their decisions, perspective and ability to effectively communicate set the tone for the rest of the company. DISC gives a leadership team a shared framework for talking about leadership styles, strategic decision-making, delegation, executive communication, team engagement, accountability, and leading through change. It also surfaces where senior leaders already see things the same way and where they don’t, which leads to more positive and productive conversations.
DISC for Sales and Customer Communication
Sales and customer-facing teams benefit from DISC in a more immediate way: reading a prospect or client’s style quickly enough to adjust their own approach. A results-oriented buyer wants the bottom line fast. A relationship-driven buyer wants to feel heard and build more trust first. Training your team to recognize the difference and respond accordingly strengthens their influence, shortens sales cycles, and improves customer service. None of that requires changing your core offerings or pricing, just how your team handles the conversation.

Greater Self-Awareness
You get a clear, honest picture of your natural behavioral style, how you adapt in the workplace, and how you actually operate under pressure.
Clearer Workplace Communication
Once you understand your own communication style and the styles around you, you can adjust how you deliver a message so it’s understood and received the way you intended.
Effective Conflict Resolution
DISC reframes most workplace conflict as a style mismatch instead of a character problem, and gives you a neutral way to talk through what’s actually going on.
Stronger Team Collaboration
When a team understands each other’s working styles, handoffs get smoother and fewer things fall through the cracks between people.
Better Leadership Effectiveness
Leaders who understand their DISC type adjust how they delegate, give feedback, and hold people accountable, tailoring their approach to who they’re talking to instead of defaulting to one style for everyone.
Improved Customer Service
Teams trained on DISC read customers faster and adjust their approach in real time, which shows up directly in customer experience and sales results.

Frequently Asked
Questions
What is a DISC profile?
A DISC profile is the personalized result of a DISC assessment. It shows where you land across four behavioral styles, Dominance, Influence, Steadiness, and Conscientiousness, based on how you naturally respond to problems, people, pace, and rules. Because people are a blend of styles rather than a single pure type, no two DISC profiles are alike.
What are DISC subtypes?
DISC subtypes describe the more specific combinations that show up when someone’s results are shaped by their two strongest traits, not just one. They give a more nuanced picture than the four primary styles alone. A D/I, for example, is direct and outgoing, while a D/C is direct and thorough, both driven by Dominance, but showing up in very different ways.
Who created the DISC profile?
DISC theory was developed by psychologist William Moulton Marston in the 1920s, based on his research into how people express emotion and behavior. The assessment tools built on his model came later, but the four-style framework is still based on his original theory.
How accurate is DISC?
DISC has strong reliability when it comes to measuring observable behavioral tendencies. Like any self-report assessment, its accuracy depends on the person answering honestly and the results being interpreted well, which is why we offer a professional debrief instead of just a report.
What is a good DISC score?
There’s no such thing as a good or bad DISC score. Every style has real strengths and real blind spots, and no single style outperforms the others across every situation. The goal isn’t to achieve a particular score, it’s to understand your style clearly enough to use it on purpose.
How long does it take to complete the DISC personality test?
The online questionnaire takes most people 10 to 15 minutes, and results are available as soon as you finish. The real value comes from the debrief conversation afterward, not just the report itself.
Can DISC results help with hiring and talent development?
DISC can be a useful piece of information during hiring and talent development conversations, though it should never be the deciding factor. Use it alongside a candidate’s actual skills, experience, and track record so it adds context instead of functioning as a pass/fail filter.
What’s the best way to implement DISC strategies across a business team?
Start by having each person complete an individual assessment, then request a team report that brings the results together so everyone has a shared vocabulary for talking about style. Follow it with a training session where the team applies it to something real, a specific communication breakdown or a recurring source of workplace friction. DISC sticks when it’s tied to your actual work rather than treated as a one-time exercise.
How can I access my DISC test results?
Once you complete the online assessment, your results are generated immediately and the report is sent to you via email. You also have the option to have the report automatically shared with a team leader, hiring manager, or peers. We’ll then walk through the report together during your debrief, so you leave with more than a report to file away.
How is the DISC assessment different from other personality tests like MBTI?
Unlike other personality tests, a DISC personality assessment measures observable behavior, how you act, communicate, and respond to your environment, rather than internal personality traits or preferences. That makes it more directly useful in a workplace setting, since it focuses on what people can see and adjust, not just how someone identifies internally.
Do I need a coach to interpret my DISC results?
You don’t need a coach to read a DISC report, but a professional debrief is where most of the value gets unlocked. A certified practitioner can help you see patterns you’d miss on your own and connect your results to your specific role, team, and goals, instead of leaving you to interpret a report by yourself.
Do you offer a free DISC assessment?
I don’t offer a free DISC personality test. There are several free tests online if you want a quick, general sense of your style. What I offer instead is a professional assessment through Assessments24x7 paired with a debrief from a certified practitioner, and possibly additional training or coaching. So your results are interpreted specifically for your role, your team, and what you’re actually trying to solve. If you’re not sure which makes sense for you, reach out and we’ll help you figure that out.
